Okay after reading the anand BF3 performance review I got sort of worried. I game at 1080p. What are the maximum settings I can set the game at for offline/online play? Specs in sig.

You can max it (minus AA) if you can game under 60 FPS. If you're looking for 60 FPS, I'd say medium-high (probably high). You have a good rig.

Prayfordeath is right, With a 6950 i'd say ultra without any AA, High with 2x AA might get you 40-50 i'd think. High /ultra is hardly noticable anyhow in the difference.

Coming from someone who owned a unlocked 6950 i can say that AMD just doesnt do AA that well compared to the other team.

Happy holidays!

I think the biggest problem will be the 1gb of vram that your card has. You will probably need to keep things at high or below with MSAA off. I have a 6850 2GB and keep my settings on high because i cant notice a difference between it and ultra.

I have a Core i5 750 clocked at 4GHz, Radeon 5850 1GB and 4GB of RAM. Same resolution as you; you have more CPU power (shouldn't be a factor) and about 20-25% more GPU power. (Anand's Bench)

I play the game on the High preset at 1920x1080 and it's rock solid, even on 64-player Conquest maps (the High Preset uses post-processing FXAA). Enabling 4xx MSAA slows things down for me, that is where your increased GPU power should pick up the slack.

The Ultra Preset works mostly fine in Single-Player, in Multi-player causes very annoying slowdowns (unless you are on an empty server with no explosions and mayhem:p). I'm guessing it might work on Ultra but without 4x MSAA.

Either way, it doesn't matter. It looks pretty freaking fantastic on High and after the first hour or so, you will get over the fact that you can't max out the game engine. I haven't even bothered trying to tweak the graphics by switching the graphic options to Ultra one-by-one and checking which feature breaks the camel's back. Who's got time when there are noobs to pwn?

I have an i5-2410M and 6770M, the equivalent of an i3-2100 and a 6670 and I can play it at 1080p medium ~33FPS, never goes under 27. The 6950 is at least 5x the card as mine, you'll be fine.
