An attorney from a NY firm was killed by his dominatrix gf's stalker, but it was the video at the bottom that I'd never seen before.

Dude hides behind a tree and the assailant is firing shot after shot at him, but just keeps missing.

EDIT: just listened to the caller, apparently the atty did in fact get shot multiple times. he walks away in the video but reportedly collapsed shortly thereafter

lol, that argument is definitely not unique to anandtech. Anyways, it's gonna be tough kill someone with any weapon if you can't hit center mass from 2 feet away.

Note that the story and the video are 2 separate events.
 
Really odd video.. the lawyer shows no indication of being hit throughout the video. Not in the way he walks or in response to the shots. Then there are multiple camera men just standing there videotaping it and the man calmly walks away in front of them, and only at the end with the frantic tackle does it appear something is happening.

Probably just grazing wounds or hand/forearm wounds from the way he's holding his arms up. People like the cameramen piss me off.

I almost wish that he would have would have shot one of those stupid cameramen who were just standing there filming everything. Cowards!

Obviously the guy didn't actually have a silver bullet, probably hit center mass with every shot, but without the silver bullet it has little effect.

It's not like the movies. Pistols are about as good as stabbing someone with a sharp stick unless you hit the CNS.
 
Stopping Power is a big study. Some actually believe that people go down when they get shot simply because that's what they think they are supposed to do because that's what happens in movies and games. One shot instant death isn't reality unless you hit something important. If someone has enough adrenaline in them and they still consciously fear for their life they will run and dodge.
