As a commissioner, can I add points to my total? Our league's first games are played this Saturday due to a mishap so we'll be missing 3 days of basketball. I want to re-imburse everyone their points. Is it possible?

I saw a link for "Stat Correction" but it doesn't work as it says it's not available until the season starts. 😕
 
you need to set to "retroactive" scoring. But it can suck b/c if you set retroactive, whoever the people have in their lineup that night will that their stats retroactive. So if you happen to have Duncan on the bench for a night you get screwed.
 
I'm trying to avoid "retroactive" scoring because if someone was to pick up a free agent, you would get all of his scores from his previous games. There must be a way for me to just distribute points. We used to use CNNSI's fantasy basketball website until they started charging money. CNNSI allowed the commissioners to distribute points. Yahoo! doesn't give me ANY power what-so-ever. 🙁
 
what was the "mishap"?

I would hesitate before making any stat changes at any time unless all other managers in the league were cool with it. It's only been a few days, so either way it's not going to have much effect on the season outcome.

The mishap was that I chose Rotisserie and we've always been doing it Points Only. Everyone is nagging me to give them their points so I would safely say they're all in agreement.

Won't that screw me up in the future? As in, they pick up a free agent and you get all of his old stats?

No it is a one time run: http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/hoops/hooprules/hooprules-13.html - you tell everyone you are going to run them on a certain night. Then everyone sets the people they want to have retroactive stats for. "All teams will only be given retroactive stats for one lineup, so the team that is set on this day will act as though it was active for the entire season.

My two leagues are both head to head, so I don't even have the option to correct stats.

With everyone bitching, yeah the 3 days matter (counting today that we're not getting credit for).

Staley8, thanks for your help. I think I can finally be released from the burning stake as my ppl in the league weren't too happy with me.
