I've just been busy been playing around with a few PC's straight after work then going out.I made sure my herd was still crunching though 🙂 ,looks like my SETI partner's herd was crunching nicely too 😀

I wondered if anyone would notice I'd been gone 😉

Ref Petrol shortage ,it didn't affect me personally because my 1988 Ford Sierra takes LRP which was still available🙂 (just) even on the worst day.1 week or more though & I would of had problems.
I did feel sorry for all those people with cat cars who must take UL though (like my father) ,I remember hearing of 1 que for fuel at 2.5 miles!!!:Q
Meanwhile we're still paying about 85p/ltr for fuel :|

Ford Sierra is a middle sized European car made from 1982 to 1992 (Mk1 & Mk2).It is rear wheel drive 🙂.errm ,how much detail do you want?

Hot dang! I just saw the first XR4Ti MerKur of my life when I was driving around last weekend. 🙂 I know exactly what car you're talking about Assim..hehe

The XR4Ti was some odd US version! 😉 ,it has a hybrid 2.3 ltr ,8 valve ,4 cyl Pinto turbo unit ,where the UK earlier versions, XR4i or XR4x4 had a 2.8 or 2.9 V6 engine.Anyway mine is nowhere near as fast as those ,mine is a GLS model with 2.0i 4 cyl pinto engine (SOHC).
BTW the Sierra Cosworth left them all standing with a 2.0 ltr turbo,DOHC 16 valve 200-220 BHP engine 😀 ,0-60mph in about 6 secs depending on model

UL = Unleaded ,LRP=Lead Replacement Petrol ,leaded fuel was taken off main sale at the end of 1999 🙁 ,not good for my engine as it was supposed to take leaded fuel(at least partially).LRP isn't as good ref cooling/lubricating valves.

WoW, Ok I see. Its just odd to me to think about leaded fuel, its been off the market so long in the US. I can't ever remember a car that burned leaded fuel. I remember the fuel because it was sold for a long time as a legacy product for lawn mowers and the oddball who still had a car that needed it. Anybody remember when they started making cars unleaded in the U.S.?

I know we had a car from 1980 that used unleaded, so it was before that.

I Believe US car makers began to make Unleaded cars in the late 70's ,here in the UK they started around the middle to late 80's depending upon manufacturer
