Was getting ready to but one and wanted to ask some experienced users some questions (that is if your nice enough to help)

-What drivers should I use

-How does the TV Output look when using S-video ie: games, web surfind DVDs etc

-Is there an easy way to disable v-sync or is it a pain? (don't know if it is easy or not since I don't have one yet)

-Is it better to get a 32mb or 64mb price/perf diff. It looks like the radeon 64mb is slower than a gts 32mb.. several benchmarks show this so far can some one point me to some other enchmarks?

- Any thing I should know about this card before I get it? I will be running winme so 2k is not an issue

Thanks for any responces and I hope to hear from you soon !

I'm using this card with Win2K and DVD's, games and overall picture quality is great. I never used TV Out so I can't help there. I do use the VI for playing console games on my PC though. I can't complain about the quality since it's better than on a TV and you can use the software to set your own resolution.

As far as I know V-Sync can be diabled via the drivers.

BTW, what's up with the drivers? It's been a while since I've seen an update.

<< -What drivers should I use >>

The latest certified drivers from ati. Using leaked drivers caused my radeon to crash my comp while running counterstrike.

Unless you have a very high quality tv. eg: 720p, 1080i (progessive scan tv and hdtv) don't expect very good quality from your tv. It should be fine for watching dvd's though.

It's very simple :)

works fine in win9x. Oh, if you're running a via chipset...DO NOT INSTALL THE ATI GART!!!!, download it from via. Other than that, nothing comes to mind.

Was this soon enough for you? ;)

thanks the ati gart advice is nice to now lol.
I ask on the TV Out quality because right now I am using a scan converter fron Antec called the tvator. My Current vid card is a gf2 gts and the TV Is a 27" panablack (I wish I had an hdtv lol) and I am using s-video to put out to the tv. My current resolution is 800x600 and the tv ator does a decent job, I am using it right no to post this message, but id does not display 32bit color as it is supposed to. So DVDs, games, even the windows desktop have colorbanding and it is driving me nuts! I also asked on the v-sync because with this gts I have to use a 3rd party program to disable it (only because I keep chnging drivers and coolbits doesnt always work).
