Do you want the bar code serial number, or the product license key? The serial number is easy, but since part of the license key has been scribbled out (with a marker/pen), it will only be possible to get part of the number.

Use a high pass filter. Adjust intensity back and forth to read the numbers.

I obtained another card with a legible code. I get an error about it being registered at the register, so this project has failed.
