dual CG stepped opteron 242's clocked to 250-252 levels (need a good enthusiast board)
6800NU (modded (bios) to FX4000)
OCZ VX ram running 1:1 (need a good enthusiast board)

Maybe a hardware Raid 5 array with the pci-z slot on the board....

My dream system pretty much mirrors Duvies...fast on the cheap is where it's at.. no fun emptying wallet out for any liability and computers certainly are that, they depreciate faster than anything and are almost worthless in 3-5 years. I guess for me the only fun in it is minimizing my loses.. aka as bang for the buck. I'd drop the VX though and get budget ram.

I agree that s why I would get the pc3200 stuff...nowhere near the ocst of the pc4000 stuff at 375 for 1gb....

1 question would be...are opterons top locked on the multi or opened like the FX??? that would make a difference onthe ram I chose definitely....

Dude I just don't believe anandtech review of VX. he shows 20% faster at same timings and speeds as other ram. Impossible.

Course I'm going to test out myself before a say definitivly.. Need DFI and video card (pcie)

I only saw about 10% in the test minus the highest one....I also dont think they were runing the TCCD Gskills at what they can...At cas 2,2,2,5 at 400ddr leel should have been right on par....Questionable if they could have gne cas 2 to the next level...ofcourse if they didn't have the LE version then it isn't much of a comparison...
