*ATTN. MODS* Requesting permission for a contest

As you can see I just turned Golden and I would like to give back to the community. It's the holidays and I want to spread the christmas joy w/ a nice little contest (no not one of those cheesy guessing games, I assure you this one will be interesting ). The problem is, however, that I don't frequent the OT forum, in fact I never post there. When the annoucement was made for the "No contests in FS forum" there was a discussion and the point that Anandtech is separated into "groups" I believe is very true. This said, I guess I would catagorize myself as a GH (general hardware) junkie. Sure I often peruse the FS and hot deal items, but I enjoy helping memebers and learning from other's over at GH. That's what makes this a nice little community. I know this sounds all corny, and yea it is , but all I ask for is permission to post a contest in the GH forum... that is all. I understand not allowing it in the FS forum as it is already clogged enough, but OT is just as bad if not worse. And as I said, I'm not an OT-ongoer and I'd like to give back to the GH people so if you could make this possible I'd appreciate it. Thanks for your time, hope we can work something out.

Sounds like a nice little idea you have there, madcowz, and I hope you can get something worked out.
