I could use your help Mike...

Just wanted to know if you had any idea how exact the temp readers on my Soyo K7V Dragon Plus! was. I'm used to using MBM and my ASUS A7V133...I would get 50/30 idle and 57/33 ish at full load...

My new mobo seems to idle at 42/31 and go up to 47/32 ish under full load. I am OCing through FSB...and I have my T-bird just slightly higher than it was under my A7V133. I jsut want to make sure that I'm not in the danger zone. (Would using ASII make that much of a difference than using the standard thermal pad that I was using originally??)

Those temps seem in line with Soyo Dragon + temps that i've seen.... Haven't seen a huge number, but 45-50C seems to be normal.... What is your motherboard/system temp? Unless that is overly low, your temps shouldn't cause you any problems.

Hard to tell whether AS2 would help much or not... Too many factors (including compressed readings) to give you a guestimate as to what kind of temp drop you'd get

Personally, i'd rate the A7v133 and other asus boards as among the "closer to die" reading socket-thermsitor boards... not accurate from a socket-thermistor standpoint, but the compensation does tend to put the "read" temp near DIE temp. (XP Chip standpoint, no real way to tell with a t-bird, however I woudl guess the results are similar).

Sorry my post wasn't too clear. I am now using ASII on my T-bird and my old GlobalWin WBK 38 (I think) with a Delta fan. Previously, I used the thermal pad that was on the GlobalWin and was using the A7V133 mobo along with that. When I did my mobo switch (to the Dragon Plus) I applied ASII.

Yeah, my mobo temp is close to what the A7V133 was measuring (that is, close to 30). Just wanted to make sure I wasn't pushing my processor too hard...
