I'm fairly convinced I'm going to get this, but I'd like to hear some end user remarks regarding the set.

Also, does the power have to be plugged into the base in order for it to send and receive signals, or is the USB connection sufficicent if you don't want to use the power connector (e.g. for a LAN party)?

Thanks!

just got mine today 🙂

unfortunately there's still some software lingering from the last keyboard (despite uninstalling it), so i'll have to find someway to get rid of it before i can fully use the keyboard

i got the mx duo and it's great. i play a lotta first person shooters and was expecting a lotta lag but there was none i could notice. i am real picky and have tried out the intellimouse explorer, optical, boomslang 2000, mx300, etc and the mx700 is my favorite. the keyboard works great and the feature i use most often is the volume control on it.

i have them and they are real nice. i love the mouse for every aspect of using my ocmputer so much that i have one for each computer i own.

Not worth the money IMO

I disagree, for a wireless setup, the price and performance is pretty good IMO. Sure I have to buy batteries for my K/B, but w/ the mouse, they're rechargeable and in the long run that's gonna pay for itself 🙂

I think he meant that the diNovo is like $200 compared to the $76 I paid for the MX Duo.

MX700 is by far the best wireless mouse for games I've used, and I play CS/UT3/Q3 enough. Reponse time is very quick and accurate.
I actually like it better than all the other wired optical mices.
NOTHING BUT PURE HS's.
