If you have that particular NIC card and are using Windows 2000 or XP, do you get an IRQL Stop error when transfering a file on MIRC or some other app/game with realtime chat and file transfer integrated? I get this error any time I try to receive files with any IRC program or when I am playing Dark Space and the client is updating (receiving files, game is in chat mode while updating). The odd thing is, I can download files with morpheus, IE or WSFTP all day and never get this error.

I've had my LNE100TX for quite a while and it's never failed me. What exactly is this error message? Maybe there is something misconfigured in your IRC program? How long has it been since you reinstalled Windows? 🙂 Try Linksys tech support?
Oh yeah. What revision is yours? I've got a 2.0.


On a side note. Everyone, buy a LNE100TX. You deserve it.
 
It is a really good NIC for $20, and it works 99% of the time...just with the IRC programs and other RT chat with file xfer. There is nothing misconfigured. I get the DRIVER_IRQL_LESS_NOT_EQUAL bsod...I changed my IDE drivers from VIA to MS and instead of getting the bsod, my comp just resets and the HD spins down. Very odd problem that I have had on my Abit KT7 and my current Epox 8KHA+.

Ive used this card for a long time, I have not rec'd any BSOD because of it, maybe the VIA drivers are causing the problem?
If changing the drivers from MS to Via got rid of the BSOD that may be the problem
