There is a post locked at the top of Off Topic I just happened to run across, the host must not run any DC projects. It is scheduled for Sat June 22 starting at noon and he is near Douglasville on the west side of Atlanta.

FiLeZz is a good guy, and a bunch of the guys that will be going I met at my house for the last one (before I was really involved in DC) Even went golfing with Fausto1 a few days after I'd recovered. I'd certainly be going if my attendance wasn't required elsewhere. By the way, watch out for a few of them (especially FiLeZz) playing those first person shooters. We had to get 2 games going at my house due to the 2 distinct classes of players, the quick and the dead. (I spent most of my time running for my life and/or being respawned)

Make it if you can, you won't regret it.

I think most of these guys are ATers was planning on going but just went to a lan party last weekend. Got lots of yard work and puters to fix.

Hey Dan on a similar subject the opposition to Georgia Gov Barnes, Sonny Perdue put out a press release today of how he would want all of the State to be wired for broadband and have as much of the State workforce as possible telecommute. Gov Barnes has no comment, wonder why.

If Georgia and Atlanta would get there rears into gear and start learning from other populated areas, this place would be a really awesome. but nooo instead we have leadership like Barnes. cough cough hack hack

Barnes is probably still having his DA bureaucrats research the word "telecommute". Judging by their past actions when faced with a very simple computing model - they will probably send their whole police department to an afternoon's schooling in DOS. The outcome will be that they will become experts in Winsock and ban access wider than 14.4!!

This way they will save on gas money whilst telecommuting on a moped (save the world from greenhouse effect) instead of unleashing dangerous V8's driven by "Nazi" geeks that still dream that government can be creative and useful, rather than an Orwellian nightmare!!

Oops, better go take tablets again - Georgia is on my mind.

You know, those guys from the AG's office spent so much time over here
and at machinethoughts, they've probably joined our ranks by now.
Probably learned all kinds of new stuff, like what bandwidth is... stuff like that.
I think one of the crowd ended up a DC 'expert' and is now lecturing.
