I can't for the life of my figure out how to purchase a new phone on there website. I am a current customer and just want a new phone to replace my old Nokia. Where the heck can I go on the site to do this? I click on the phone and pda link and it only gives me prices with new subscription. What the hell? A link would be excellent.

this should work
go to the "Shop Cingular" -> Phones & PDAs
then, enter your zip and do the "Upgrade your device or change existing service." radio button, and select "My account is with Cingular blah blah"
on the next page, on the bottom right should be a box for "upgrade phone"

Just don't get the Motorola V220. The sound and ring are so low even I set the volume to the max. I can't wait to get rid of it <1 year contract>.

So why don't you upgrade the phone? The cheap Motorolas are notorious for being hard to hear on.

When I go to "Upgrade Phone" it checks my elligibility and then comes back saying I'm not eligible to change my phone number. I don't want to change my number!!!!!!!!

Why roll your eyes at that? When my V600 was screwing up a little while ago I went into the Cingular store to see if there was anything to be done, they looked at my account and said I didn't have any insurance and asked if it was OK to add it to my account and told me to wait the 15 days and call in a claim, I even asked if that was alright to do and was assured that there was not issue with it.

I just went through the same horsesh!t. I ended up going to a cingular store and just buying the new phone outright. You have to pay full retail price though.

I just got it for about 2 months and I am not going to pay for another phone. I used to have the candybar Nokia <5600 IIRC> and I loved it. I will go back with Nokia for sure.

You can go to Target or a Cingular store and get a "Pay as you go" phone from Cingular. Just switch out your SIM card and it'll work no prob.
