I have an old aluminum road frame with 126mm rear drop outs. I wonder what kind of options I have for an upgrade when current rear hubs are 130mm. I currently have a Shimano 105 6-speed and am pondering upgrading necessary components to Ultegra STI. Is it even possible?

Not really AFAIK. With a steel frame, you can spread the dropouts a bit in some cases to accomodate newer hubs, but you're pretty much screwed with an alu frame.

It would be a good candidate for a single-speed/fixed-gear trainer tho. 🙂
