Attn Best Buy employees! PSP Question!

Hi!

I bought a 4 year PSP 2.75 years ago and the product is having minor issues. My question is, will they attempt to repair it, which will take time and effort I don't want to deal with, or just replace it?

The product is an Aiwa Home Theatre System Model HT-D770. The receiver is having the issues, an Aiwa AV-67.

Thanks!

I haven't worked at a Best Buy since in I was a sophmore in college (over 4 years ago), but I can tell you that they will most likely try to fix it. A while back they used to replace almost anything...and that started cutting in on profits a lot. I remember people buying 3 year PSPs on a 486, coming back 2.5 years later and getting a brand new Pentium 133 because it cost the same amount. Anyway, they started attempting to fix everything first...and as an absolute last ditch, they would replace. I am pretty sure they still follow this line.

they won't fix it or honor it, they will pretend what ever the problem your having isn't covered under their warranty. Have a nice day

I used to work there a while ago. I'm assuming they will attempt to repair it, and if they can't, they'll replace it. BB tries to be 'efficient' and they repair expensive stuff (ones with PSP), while they replace cheaper things (ones with PRP) that wouldn't be worth their time.

Wow, thanks for all the info. Is there any way to find out if my item is a devo? I know Aiwa no longer makes any home theatre equipment, so they wouldn't be able to replace any of my stuff with Aiwa equipment.

For that type of item they will attempt to repair it, yes. If they keep the item in question in their possession past a 4 week period, current policy is to simply replace the item immediately. A month is kinda sucky but its realistic, considering they will probably end up shipping the entire unit back to the manufacturer (at their cost).

Since you have 1.25 years left, you might want to wait until a more serious problem occurs before sending it in. In either case, bring the unit by (don't bother phoning, really) and see what they say about turnaround time. Good luck!

if u know someone at BestBuy, they can check for you, just give them the SKU # on ur receipt and they can tell u from the green screen if it's DEVO or not

I called and had the guy look it up on the computer. He said it'd be a repair item. Oh well, not worth the effort right now.

i have a question, i got the 2 year deal on my z560s, but logitech give me a 2 year manufactures warranty, what does bb cover that logitech wont?
