Can somebody reccomend a good VSO show? Their website seems to be useless and I would like some info on what's being played at their concerts.

Should I see a Masterworks show or Gr. Composers? btw, this is my Mom's B-day present and I know she likes Baroque style of classical music... can anyone help?

thanks

Don't fret it guy it's really no big deal. What Mom wouldn't love to be taken to the VSOrchestra by her loving son on her birthday?:D

What your concern should be is the line you're gonna give that HOTTIE at the Box Office!;) Hell even let her pick the show and then tell her you'll take two tickets for the other for you and her.;)

Mom's gonna love it dude, have a great time!(insert giant woohoos here)

Hmmnnn ... i'd just pick one that looks good and roll with it. Your mom can't be that picky that she wouldn't love a well intentioned gift from her son right? She'll love it whatever it will be. Just don't send her to Metallica meets the VSO okay? You'll be fine ...

LOL thanks guys... I just would like to know what to expect though... I like classical music but I am not a knowledgable person about it. I am assuming 'Great Composer' shows will be a mix of all of the familiar names right?

Well, you could check out some of the Vancouver UseNet newsgroups regarding classical music and/or the Vancouver ng for anyone's opinion about a good classical show. I'm not that learned myself about classical. I'm sure that if you pick the great composers one that it will rock your mom's world ... in so many words.
