How well does your 6800GT run games? If you'd be so kind as to let me know:

- Your system specs
- Which brand 6800GT you have
- OC'd or not OC'd
- Resolution/detail/AA/AF settings you use in each game
- FPS you get in each game

Games I'm interested in results for are: BF2, HL2, D3.

Big thanks in advance :)

see sig
not oc'ed.
bf2 = smooth
hl2 = untested
d3 = smooth at 60 most of the time.

i highly recomend it if you are buying and i say good choice for buying it you have one. i gt over 100 fps average in halo, and that is about it. overall, it is super fast, and i got 11454 so far as the highest 3dmark03 score.

What resolution/what settings do you play BF2 at?

I have a K8V with a oc'ed 3000 winchester @ 2.4 GHz with 1024 MB of RAM.

I play D3 at 1600x1200 at Max with 60-80 FPS.
HL2 1600x1200 with 4xAA around 70 FPS.
BF2 I haven't tested since I don't play it.
Riddick is smooth @ 16x12 with 1.++ shaders. 2.++ shaders though the game lags.

Specs: A8V dlx, A64 winch 2200mhz, 1GB
Brand: BFG AGP, 414/1104mhz oc

D3: 1280x960, no AA, 8X AF (automatically set by HQ mode)
HL2: 1600x1200, no AA, 4X AF
BF2: untried
I haven't run any benchmarks but the ingame minimum framerates are pretty much always over 60 in both games.

It generally struggles at 1600x1200 without AA or at 1280x960 with 4X AA in the newer games (HL2 is the only one that runs smoothly). 1280x960 is usually quite smooth, although I have to drop down to 1024x768 for HDR (well worth it though). 3dmark05 score is around 5600 +/-15 depending on the drivers I am using.

I run BF2 with max settings, 12x10, runs pretty smooth, there is some choppiness but that's almost certainly a RAM issue. It's an okay buy, but I'd suggest waiting. We're so close to the release of the 7800GT, it'd almost defenitely be a better buy.

Athlon 64 3000+ @ 2.5GHz
1GB PC3200
BFG 6800GT @ 370\1000 (stock BFG speeds)

BF2: 1280x960 Med\High is a bit choppy but that's almost certainly my measly 1GB RAM
HL2: 1024x768 everything on high, 2x AA was smooth. Haven't played in a long time though so I can't really tell you more
D3: 1024x768 Ultra Quality 4x AA was smooth. Once again, it's been a while since I've played.

D3 and HL2 I played on my old 17" monitor (hence the low resolution) and BF2 was on the 17" and my new 21"

BS.

HL2 @ 1280x1024 with 2xAA and 8xAF had a hard time reaching 60 fps during the Strider attack in the ruined buildings. How in gods name can you say 70 fps at 1600x1200? Heck, I had my WC at 2.5 and my TCCD running 1:1 and I couldn't match those framerates.

Jesus, GTs won't even get you 60 fps in D3 at max and 1600x1200. Maybe if you're running SLI.

P4 3.0E
1GB DDR500 Dual Channel
BFG 6800GTOC 370/1000 out of the box
ASUS P4P800
Nothing o/c'd

HL2 getting over 100fps in the stress test at standard settings
and the game plays beautifully smoothe at 1280x960 4x/8x

BF2 I only played the demo and it was very smoothe at 1024x768. I really didn't like the game so I didn't mess with the resolutions at all.

Doom3 1280x960 4xAA smoothe as butter.

It is a beastly card. Recommend it.

A64 skt754 3000
ECS A754 nForce4
2x512MB PC3200 RAM no dual channel
EVGA 6800GT w/ NV Silencer

Doom 3 does everything well at 1280x1024 HQ. I eventually turned off AA b/c I couldn't tell the difference anyway, and it eliminated the very minor stuttering when a pile of monsters appear.

Will add another: NFS:Underground 2 is flawless....I cannot do anything to make the game slow down :D

Want to buy BF2 when it gets cheaper...have yet to reinstall HL2.

Great card for $220!

Bought eVGA 6800GT 1 month ago

-Dell Dimension 8300, P4 2.8C, 1 GB PC3200, 305W PSU
-No OC
-Always play at 1024x768 (I use 17" CRT)
-BF2: max AA and AF (from in-game options), most settings on high
-HL2: max everything w/ AA and AF
-D3: high settings with AA and AF
-Riddick: "SM 2.0 mode"--high everything w/ AA and AF
-every other game: most settings, if not all, at highest w/ 4xAA and 8xAF

Wait until tomorrow and I'll tell you how F.E.A.R. demo plays.

when I had my 6800gt, I played almost everything at high settings at 1280x1024....until I got BF2. I had to run that game at medium settings, because I only had 1gb of RAM.

I found that it sometimes stuttered at 1280x960 (close enough) in some games at stock speeds, but overclocking fixed that. If you are using HDR or 4X AA you generally need to go down to 1024x768 in new games though.

Most of the older stuff I have is smooth at 1600x1200 with 4X AA / 8X AF and a few games even work well at 2048x1536 with 2X AA / 8X AF.
