Here is a picture of a car with a couple of ?attitude" stickers on it: Car

I found the above depicted car stickers particularly offensive and obnoxious for several reasons. They are rude, insulting and vulgar. And frankly, would you want your children to read those when driving down the road?

The driver of this car also ignores the obvious increased risk of getting his car vandalized or keyed by an irate person in a parking lot or at the bar. There is also an increased risk of getting into a road rage incident.

To me there is no need for this kind of stuff. Maybe I am over reacting.

What do you think?

where's the "they only serve to make you, the driver of said car, look more retarded than you probably already are" option?

I think you telling me what I can and cannot put on MY property is wrong. But then again I guess we have to think of the children.

I LOVE my "rock out with your <picture of male rooster> out" sticker.

If your children are too young to be reading words like that, why are they in the front seat? I'd be more worried about them flying through the windshield in a high speed collision with the car you're tailgating rather than what they read on the bumper of said car.

I am more worried about a meteorite crashing through the roof and crushing their skulls. Being in the back seat in a kid seat won't do shit then.

Definitely.

Increased incidence of road rage?

"OMG, that guy's bumper sticker says I have an attitude problem!!! I'll kill him for that!!!!!!"

I think someone like that could just as easily be offended by the color or brand of the car.

Now if it said something like, " I  Hitler and dead Jewish children." - then yeah, you'd be right to get offended and really want to key the car, as well as the face of the owner.

This though, it's a stupid bumper sticker intended to attempt to be mildly witty. So what.

"And what's all this bullshit about children these days? 'Save the children, who's gonna look out for the children, what about the children?!' Well you know what I say? FUCK the children! Fuck 'em, they get entirely too much attention already." --George Carlin

Truer words have never been spoken.

I wonder why the OP is worried about the driver of that car.

I've got plenty of other things to worry about than trying to get into someone else's head. If you've put aside time to worry about what someone has put on their car to demonstrate their 1st amendment rights, then I would like to direct you to the P&N forums.

And FYI, if my kids saw that and asked me, "Daddy, what is an asshole?" I'll just tell them that it's an expression that adults use to say that someone is not being a good person.

That's pretty obvious by how skewed the poll is.

I give them as much credence as a "vote republican" sticker.

They remind me of white trash. Same with the stupid stickers that say the Make/Model of the car at the top of the windshield.
