Has anyone on board insulated their attic? Which material did you choose, and why? What might the cost be on a 1,400sf area?
I have a twenty year old house in south Florida. Insulation in the attic is about two inches of some ineffective powdery crap. I can't imagine the R-value being more than 4. On the other hand, living in a hot southern climate, is insulation in the attic even necessary?
I mean, what practical effect would it have on keeping the house cool and the air conditioning in?
