!!! NEWSFLASH !!!

The presence of letter combinations like "GTI" and "VR6" does not turn your little Euromobile into an indestructible speeding bullet that the forces of physics do not apply to. Please stop gunning your little cars around others on the highways and residential roads like idiots imagining themselves in Ronin or perhaps The French Connection.

Your car is really only worthy of a three-quarters space in the parking lot of The Gap, NOT powersliding around a banked freeway turn at 180 km/h! In essence, SLOW THE FSCK DOWN BEFORE YOU LOSE CONTROL AND DENT MY PRECIOUS SENTRA! :p

Sincerely,

A troubled Nissan driver.

So timely. During the course of this day I've had about 20 cars and/or motorcycles driving by gunning their engines down the whole street, setting off car alarms. It should be illegal for motorcycles to go through residential neighborhoods without a muffler (and I'd bet that this one had been modified to make it even louder, because even a normal motorcycle isn't this loud). Also have some idiot who keeps coming to the house next door whose car make a high pitched squeal (no idea of the cause) unless he guns the engine and keeps it gunned while he's sitting there.

Motorcyle's have to be loud. The louder your bike, the more respect you get. If you're cruising down the road in a silent Yamaha, prepare to get abused. Atleast thats what my friends father told me, who owns a few bikes of his own.

Heck I don't even have the SE-R version of the 2k2 Sentra, just a GXE w/automatic. I wanted a decent car for an urban environment and a highway cruiser...my needs are few. :p Anyway, in two days of driving it seems like every VW in sight has been slipstreaming through traffic and generally acting unpredictable. Then on the way home from shopping today I watched a Jetta VR6 (at least I think it was a Jetta, all VWs look the damn same :D) doing nearly double my 125 km/h on the wide banked curve of Highway 403 up here in Mississauga. I'll admit I've done nearly the same at 3 AM at night - got to love taking curves under power - but cutting across 3 lanes in dense 4 PM traffic? Give it a break, you driving wizard.

VWs are pretty nice cars, though the ones friends of mine own sure seem to break down a lot. The standard stadium dimming lights on the Golf are an especially nice touch. It's just the drivers that are wacko. :D

sully,

I drive within the limits of my car. Not all of us VW owners drive like suicidal maniacs.

That being said, i've noticed a disturbing trend whereas i've been seeing more and more riced out VW's. With the riced out VW's comes your stereotypical dangerous/foolish/moronic/idiotic/reckless rice rocket driver.

I hope this trend doesn't continue. :(

Care to explain the new slogan, 'Shift'? At least us VW drivers dont need to be told when to change gears....

And dont tell me about the old one 'Driven' because it sounds like an ad for a used car..

:)
