This is for all, but since we are in a MTR it is more for The WUsual Suspects. My average will drop due to my boss at work deciding that I needed to take Seti off of ALL the computers I had it one at work. First it was just the servers and now he decide that he wants them all off. He got himself a trial version of some network traffic analyzer/packet sniffer and saw what he thinks is a lot of traffic going to my PC which has SetiQueue on it. Damn him! I am not sure how much this will hurt since they were sort of slow computers anyway and I am in the process of getting my daughters PC fixed (xp1600) and trying to get a few more parts for a Athlon Classic 750 together. So I am going to try and fill this gap. Sorry guys........

Dasm! :( Well, nothing ventured, nothing gained. We'll take what we can get, right? :)

Well, that sucks.

As was said, your job is worth more than SETI, so don't fret.

Hey, don't sweat it! We all know about managers getting into areas they don't really know about and the rash decisions they can make. Best you keep your paycheck than crunch a few more WUs!

Geez... How does your boss define "a lot of traffic"? Aren't the WU's ~350KB and the results a small fraction of that. If he wants to see a lot of traffic have him analyze a machine doing a Windows Update or watch a machine getting Ghosted. I bet there's less network traffic with SETI compared to other non work related things like Webshots.

As others have said, your job is more important and at least you tried and got some production out of them. :)
