Just curious who has temporarily 'converted' over to RC5 and OGR from the SETI project, and what systems you are running for the Seti Cavalry account? :)

Personally, I'm running a K6-3+ 600Mhz full-time on OGR, and 2 Celeron 700's and a Celeron 466 about 6-8 hours a day for RC5..

(By the way, we were #10 overall for the TeAm in OGR-25 yesterday, :D and way down at #199 for the TeAm in RC5..)

i'm running a c2600@747, a c466@582, a pII233@292, a p133@133, and as soon as I get the nic from odeen I will add another p133. But they are all cracking rc5 under my nic, and not the seti one. Allready had that one set up, so thought it'd be easier to just go that route;)

I send some blocks that way from time to time-----both OGR and RC5

as well as using various other e-mails.

my original one has long since been retired :)

My entire fleet(er.. herd?) listed in my sig is grazing on blocks for The Federation until the end of this month, then it's back to the S@H project. :)

Gosh, thanks guys.

Didn't know there was so much power converted from the Seti team into DNet.
You'll definitely be payed back later.

Especially thanx to Networkman for adding so much fire power to my beloved Federation. We need all the help we can get to gain on those hiddeous Borg. :)

I have moved my P-233MMX/262 over to RC5 and have RC5 running on 3 SETI boxes with SETI Client Priority set to LOW. I am using my own ID as I could not find the SETI TeAm ID at the time. Doing it this way I can now see the insignificance my contribution. :( I am thinking that I will build some cheap systems (without cases) as I upgrade my SETI boxes from Celleys(300A, 366 & 433) to CU's or CU128's. I am thinking this because of what I read about the 3.0.3 client. As I don't want to have machines that are only putting out 1, or less SETI WU's/day. Don't have the room or patience for that!

What I don't want to see happen is for our SETI TeAm to suffer due to help we are giving others. We have made a lot of progress in the last few months and I don't want to loose the momentum!

I have the boxes here at work running the SETI cavalry ID. Most of my personal machines work hard on SETI, but it is easier to remote admin RC5 boxes than SETI...

I had my Athlon 700 and my 233MMX running 100% RC5 a few months ago.
I soon switched the 233 MMX to both SETI and RC5 because it was better at SETI.

When I saw Splatball Inc. was going to pass me in SETI I had to switch my 700 also.
They are my buddies and I just can't let it happen. :)

My 233MMX and Athlon 700 run both RC5 and SETI GUI 3.03 and that gives RC5 about 18% of the CPU cycles.

I put RC5 on my college son's PIII 450 which should still be running it 100%.
His girlfriend's PIII 800 should be running RC5 100% also, if he put it on there like he said he would. I'm sure he let's his run 24/7. I'm not sure about hers.
There is a chance that they shut these down when they came home for the holidays.

Ran my p3 700 for Seti Calvary RC5 the past few days. Working on OGR under my personal account now - gotta keep the DPC off our backs in OGR!

I'm taking a little different tack on this. Being concerned about efficiency, I moved a P2 400@412 over to SETI indefinitely because the relative efficiency of the P2 is very good at Seti vs RC5. It is taking a bit over 17 hours per WU with a 3.03 GUI though. :(

I have 2 fast Celeron 2s plugging away with older clients, so I can get my own WU times down as low as possible before they absolete the older clients. When that happens, its back to Dnet for all my Celery.

It has sure been neat to see all the SETI people sacrifice their own SETI stats to help with the RC5/OGR effort. Ideally it would be nice to keep the P2s and P3s busy with SETI, K6s with OGR, Athlon/Durons and Pentium MMXs on RC5, and the rest wherever a person wants them. That would be a pretty efficient thing for the whole TeAm, but I know that this is not practical.

After personally using so many K6s for cracking...../me just chokes to see a K6 used for anything but OGR. I have similar thoughts in regards to P2s and P3s when it comes to SETI, but not as strong as the K6/OGR relationship.

Then I'd better not tell you that I ran SETI on a K6 200 for about 2 weeks! ;) ,running GUI v2.04 I was getting WU times of about 24-26 hrs :p ,lol.
The machine is still here sitting idle awaiting its HDD replacement (currently has my spare 450Mb HDD).

I've converted two of my three home machines (C450 and Duron 800) from SETI to RC5-64 during january. At work I've converted three machines (P166MMX and 2 PIII550) from SETI to RC5. I'm cracking under my own e-mail because I like to track my stats... ;)
I've set up a pproxy at both my home and my work. The home one is on ADSL and updates a stat page every 15 minutes. :) You can check it here. :)
If you want to try the pproxy, mail me and I'll mail you back the actual IP adress of the pproxy. I don't have a fixed IP but I'm so often online that it don't update often. ;)
