A number of my friends and family are going to vote for Kerry come November. Being an undecided voter, I asked them out of curiosity why they would pick John Kerry over the President Bush or any of the third party candidates. These suporters seemed divided into two categories, those that actually like Kerry and his ideas/proposals, thinking that they are truly the future of the democratic party and this nation, and those who would vote for him simply because he is "anything but Bush". This split seems rather widespread among my freinds. For those of you here at ATPN, which is the stronger reason in your minds to vote for Kerry? (question not intended for bush supporters) I realize that this is a bit vague, but I'm asking which is the strongest, not in an either/or fasion.

EDIT: Poll fixed....Bush supporters please click view results...

Its close to a repost, but not quite. Had this been a poll like I wanted it to be, then it would be a definite non-repost. I'm not asking what Kerry is "bringing to the table", just what keeps them (supporters) there at the table...the message or avoiding the other big table like the plague (due to having seen the other table) ;) If this thread heads in the same direction as the other thread, then I'll close it and call it a repost.
EDIT: Poll added...

I like Kerry's policies, I like his experience in the senate, and I like the fact that hes a war hero.

Another thing is, Kerry's voting record on the environment has been the most progressive of all the senators. The guy actually cares about the environment, the world we live and the health of the people.

Kerry is terrible and Bush is God awful, but I'll vote for Kerry just to keep that idiot Bush out of the White House. I admit that not having Bush to kick around would be a very difficult burden. :) However, Bush will win.

Interesting results so far...most are simply for ousting Bush as opposed to being for Kerry. I wouldve expected it to be an even split, or at the very least, more "undecided" votes. Hmmm...we'll see what happens after we have more voters chime in..
