I have hooked up an ATI Silencer to my 9800xt. Now, as before, the card itself decides how fast the fan should be spinning to accomodate certain temperatures. Is there any way to over ride the card's controls and do it solo? i know this is possible to do to virtually every other fan with speedfan, or some utility - can i also control the card? If the card can do it... theorotically if i have the right software... so can i, right?
 
is that sponsored by ATI at all? i just downloaded the catalyst control center.. that didnt help. So ati tool is ht eonly way? is that a third party program?
