Please go here!

9/4 UPDATE!

Its done! I bought a certified pre-owned 2003 G35 in pristine condition for $26,137. It has everything except for heated seats (I think the 2003 model didnt have that feature) and the Navi system. But I got the Bose system, sun/moon roof, all leather, 6 disk CD changer, OMFG its incredible. There is still plenty a warranty on it! :D

Thats to everyone that helped. Pictures will be posted very soon :)

9/4 UPDATE!

Ok guys, I've had to come down to earth a little bit. I didnt buy the car, dispite the great deal. I actually want something in the $25 range. I test drove the 2004 accord, fully loaed minus the nav system. It was nice, it aint no G35, but its also about $10k cheaper. I have a wedding and a house to save up for. So, anyways, here is my question to you all. Whats a good car for about $25. Please, stop the argueing and please please stop hi-jacking my #$@#$#@$@#$@# thread!

kthnx

9/2 UPDATE!

Ok guys, I just test drove the automatic and I am FLOORED! Wow! What an awesome car! I love how you can manually shift the automatic w/o the clutch. Anyways, he's quoted me now $32,990 with the following options:

- Navigational system
- Premium package (includes leather, chrome, heated seats, 6-disk CD changer, Bose system)
- Splash guards
- Trunk mat

Anyone want to buy a 1993 RX-7 for $15k? :D Must be within 2 weeks.

9/1 UPDATE!

Infiniti sales rep just called me after I submitted my prefference via carsdirect.com earlier today (surprised at the response time) and said he has a price.

He said he will give me invoice price of $33,174

- Navigational system
- Leather
- Premium package
- Bose system

What do you guys think?

---------------------------------------------------

I want to sell my RX-7. Yes, I know its my other girl, but its time to move on. There are several reasons for it, but I wont bore you with the details. I've always wanted a BMW and I'm thinking about moving to something in the 3 series. My question to you guys is this:

1) How much should I ask for my car. Its a 1993 RX-7. New engine built by an extremely reputal shop, Tripoint Enginnering ( http://www.tripointengineering.com ) about 2 years ago. It now has a little under 20,000 miles on the engine. Its in extremely good condition inside and out. I'll take some picture tomorrow maybe so you guys can see. I'm at work right now and don't have any on me.

2) What do you think of the BMW 3 series. How does it compare to the Audi Quatro? Is there another equivenant?

3) I'm sure this question gets asked alot, but when is the best time to go to a dealership and get a car. Last day of the month, an hour or two before they close?

Someone I work with got a 2002 325ci in great shape for $26K. It has 50k miles on it which is a hell of alot, but I'm thinking if I can get $20-$25k for my RX, I'm happy and then can put some money towards a pretty big down payment.

Are repairs pretty expensive? I would assume so. How long have you had the car?

eekk... why is the greater sign not showing properly??

I had the car for bit more than a year, and I had no issues so far (other than speaker rattle, and window trim falling, both replaced for free by dealer)

service cost is zero for me so far, its free for 4 years or 60k miles

I'd take a look at the Infinity G35 Coupe... The 2005 models are coming out now with almost 300hp. The 330Ci I believe is about 230-240hp. Plus repairs probably aren't going to be as much as the BMW's.

Around $32,000 or so. My Dad's been looking at them and the look tight. Here's an article for the 2005 models... Text">http://www.clubg35.com/article17.html</a>

Ionno. As much as I'm one to say get something else there is something about BMW's (besides the name) that makes them worth the money.

I would get a used S4 over a used 3 series any day. IMO the only decent 3 series are the 330ci and the M3 and I would still choose the s4 over both. There are alot of options out there for around $30k though.

WRX
WRX STI
TL
IS300
G35
A4

Then if you get a used car...there are lot more.

If you're going to get a used S4, then you can't even compare them with the 3 series. Its a close call between the M3 and the S4 though, depending on which generation the choices are between.

If its the current generation Audis, I'd probably take an A4 3.0 quattro over the bmw's.

EDITED for content.

Eh, if you're going to get a used S4, then you'd have to compare to a used M3.

Not really, the new B6 S4s are retarded, but if you go with the B5 250hp, one with 30k miles is about $30k here in socal. Compare that to an equally priced BMW &amp; there is no contest.
