And remember, the reason that it didn't fix healthcare prices is not the fault of Republicans, who have obstructed any changes all along the way, it is the fault of the Democrats, many of whom have been fighting for the changes you want but cannot get it through because of some shitty Democrats and all Republicans. So don't vote for either party, which will not result in more Republicans winning.

Notice how Incrementalism was easily reversed? If you want a permanent solution to these issues you need a Revolutionary change, not an Evolutionary one. Remove the Private Insurance Industry from the picture entirely. Even if it is very difficult to do so, it is the only way to fix this.

And the way to get that done is certainly not to vote every Republican out of office, it is to bitch and moan about how imperfect Democrats are.

Why not both?

If we push for meaningful change, it is likely the Blue Dogs will not be willing participants. It is a difficult road ahead to shift the paradigm enough to get something done.

The goal is a fundamental change in our health care system and the way we do that is to keep pushing towards that. You don’t get there by giving republicans (who are against this fundamental change) a win simply because the democrats running isn’t perfect and that’s what some idiots are advocating for.

You do if you Need to push the Democrats to fight for it and it appears that's what needs to be done.

That makes zero sense. You are saying, “you democrats better do X or we’ll vote in a republican who won’t do X!”

In order to make change, you need to be a key to power and show you can get people elected. Can't just scream at the wind and sit on the side, as people will just ignore you. In 2018, progressives didn't do so well in moderate districts. It's an unfortunate reality in the US that we need to literally drag the country forward. But in order to do that, you need to get people in office.

Why would we need to crater the economy indefinitely? I mean I get that this doesn't seem like something that we can fix/address because we have the most incompetent president in charge but we are and will continue to make progress in spite of trump not because of trump.
What if this is something we can’t fix with science? There was a time in the not so distant past when the human race did not have vaccines. Diseases would burn through populations and that was it.

CNN has a great article on what Hong Kong, South Korea, Germany and Singapore did right, but many of their countermeasures will be difficult to sustain.

Define "fix". Right now we just need to cope. What we're mostly doing is trying to slow it down to a manageable level so that it won't break the healthcare system we're desperately trying to improve to handle it. Given the weaknesses of smaller gubmint, market based healthcare & the well indoctrinated morons on the Right I figure we'll end up more like Ecuador than we'd like-

Which is interesting since officially Equador has only recorded 401 deaths as of this moment. Your article says the bodies are being collected from people's homes, suggesting these people were never tested, diagnosed or treated. Makes you wonder about the extent of under-reporting of both cases and deaths in developing countries.

His post was sarcasm.;)
Yup, dank is bitter at the stupid in people that causes the to f themselves in the a because of it and never seeing that is exactly what they are doing, mad enough in fact to rub their noses in their own fate out of the feeling such stupidity deserves the rewards that it reaps, but the fact is that nobody deserves to be that stupid and nobody was born that way. That stupidity is the result of conditioning and nobody is responsible for what happened to them as children that fucked us all up. So it's senseless to wish the results of Karma on people who have no control over themselves because while nobody deserves it, Karma is a law and nobody is free of it deserving or not.

The proper response, then, at least as far as I can see, is to pity the stupid for their stupidity, help them to see it and hope they get smarter. Reality is reality and nobody can avoid it no matter what fantasy world they create.

In any country if you ask me. Some of the issues are covered in an article on google right now regarding the low number of deaths in India.

It's true, I'm not strong enough to continue trying to help people that are pissing all over me. Was never into golden showers that much.

It's called Leverage. Address these grievances or lose Power.

Leverage lol, you’d need a significant amount of the vote in order to call that leverage and as Bernie proved in Michigan and in other states as well as in 2018, there aren’t enough of them for such a tactic.

There's enough support to make the difference between success or defeat.
