I'm looking for a reputable car hauling company to transport a car from London, ON to Birmingham, AL. Right now I am just looking for quotes, so if you have ANY idea of a company please suggest it. Secondly, failing a car hauling company, does anyone know what is required to move property(an automobile) that you own across the border? I was told I need a broker. Is this applicable?

Little background:

I am the car owner, and it was purchased in the US in 2001. I sent the car to be upgraded at a Canadian Aftermarket company. Company was very slow and didn't deliver the car in the promised fashion. It was resent to them, and they promised to take care of it. Since then I've been fighting a losing battle to get the car back and cut my losses. For the past 6 months or so I've been fighting a legal battle, and for now I've gotten almost all of what I want. I can get the car back at no charge minus getting it back to Alabama. This is something that has to be done soon as well...

Great. I didn't think about that, but my car doesn't meet smog requirements. Can I drive it in Canada even though it is from the states?

1. Cost.
2. I'm in school and have a job.
3. This is a long distance drive, and the car is more of a race car. It might not be so good for the car.

But. If a car hauler is going to be $$$ then I just about don't have a choice. I'm sure I could pay the cost even an insane amount, but I'd rather chance the drive if it is going to be extremely $$$. Besides, like you said it could possibly be fun.

It's a straight pimpin mustang with more money in it that Mill is going to admit to ;) I was in it, and it's fast. Very fast. Damn near almost as fast as my maxima.

Thanks to all who responded. Skoorb, you can side track my thread anytime!

Freejack2, your link was especially helpful, because I didn't know that I'd need a speciality trailer since my car is low to the ground.
