My new case takes slim slot loading optical drive, here's a pic of the drive EVGA recommends
I wanted a BluRay though, which EVGA didn't have a model they recommended that lines up properly. I ended up ordering the Panasonic and sure enough, the eject button doesn't line up with the button on the case.
If you look at both pics you can see the button's not even close to matching up.
this is the inside of the panel, I want to keep the button on the outside in the same place but extend the metal bracket that triggers the eject button. I'm not at home, and I didn't actually measure it, but it'll need to be a good maybe 2 inches lower for the optical drive I bought.
This seems like it should be an easy mod, but I'm not really good with sh*t like this lol. I don't have power tools except a driver, how should I attack this? Since it's inside I'm not concerned with it looking pretty, just want it to work
