Well the boss is out of the office today and needs someone to watch the dog, so it's my turn to babysit. Since she has to be watched to make sure she doesn't get into paperwork and rip it to shreds (again haha), I've got to keep an eye on her. This invariably lowers my productivity because I can't leave her alone. Also, she seems to sleep when in my lap and, if she's not in my lap, she jumps at my feet or crawls up my boot, up my pants, crawls into my lap and goes to sleep anyway.

To compromise, I've pushed my keyboard back and wrapped her in a small Portland Trail Blazers blanket (because they DESERVE to be shat on, btw) and set her on my desk. I've got my arms going past her on either side so she still thinks she's in my lap and she's sleeping away.

She's so cute!! She's currently pulled her head out from the blanket-sleeping-bag, rested her chin on my wrist, and went back to sleep.

Big dogs are not cute, they're ... drooling. Besides, a 200lb. rot would probably break my desk

you can't really call it a dog when it looks like a genetic fluke of a rat. and big dogs are super cute.

The explanations of my workplace have been one-sided; of course it seems that way. :)

How do you think he got his own office.

Well you treat big dogs differently than little dogs. Little dogs are for picking up and putting on your desk and letting them jump all over you, big dogs are for running with and feeding table food and laying around lazily all day. I've got a big shep and I've never had a little dog, which would be nice.

This is my sister's 130lbs ridgeback....he is very very cute and lovable.

Thanks, but you owe me a new keyboard. Coffee stains look bad on a white keyboard

They're fully grown but they're still adorable to me :)

Actually, now they're just great looking dogs, not adorable.

German Shepherds are awesome :)
