Attaching Thermal Diode to CPU and GPU

How do I attach the thermal diode to the CPU and GPU in my Aspire x-SuperAlien case? Aspire's website looks like I designed it and suggests taping it on. What? Sorry such a dumb question.

attach it as close as possible without putting it between the cpu and the heatsink. THat would be very very bad.

As long as your sensor leads are very thin, you can install it to the underneath side of your processor as shown here in the Thermaltake Volcano 9 instructions.

I have done this a few times. I would suggest that you make sure not to place the sensor in between your procesor and your mobo's socket thermistor though.
This method is probably better than attaching to your heatsink.
You can attach to the back side pcb of your GPU also.

I am going to use some AS5 (is that sticky or not?) to attatch a thermal probe to the side of my CPU's inbuilt heatspreader, the A64's have one don't they?
