Howdy everyone. I'm trying to attach a rear-mounted bicycle seat for my daughter, but I don't have the instructions for it. Has anyone ever attached one of these? I don't know how universal they are so I'll try to take some pictures of it and see if anyone has anything similar...

The oens where they sit in a seat behind you really aren't all that safe. They make the bike extremely top heavy and prone to tipping over.

I'd recommend you get one of the trailer types that you can pull along behind the bike. I've seen them for like $70 or so in the Sunday ads the past few weeks. Plus they double as an extra stroller.

I've got the rear-mounted CoPilot Limo seat on my tandem. With that one, you install a rear rack, then the seat attaches to the rack. If yours is like that I can probably help.

It's really hard to take hairpin turns going down the mountain if you have one of those behind you though.

As far as being safe its a trade-off ... if you ride on public roads your a lot safer with the rack-mounted seat because it doesn't stick 3 feet out into traffic or turn you into a lumbering target for careless drivers.

On the other hand a rack does raise your center of gravity so if you only ride in parks or on sidewalks the trailer might be a better bet.
