This may be cancelled, but who knows. My order was confirmed. Use the "Order by Catalog #" and enter item # 436153.

I take no credit for this. Saw it on DVDTalk.

I just got off the phone with a staples CSR after noticing that my order was cancelled that included the .01 attache. She had said it was a typo and that all orders that have that item were in limbo until the corporate office decides on how to handle it. She had also said that I would receive an email this morning on how they will handle this....:|

Staples was running a coupon where you receive the free attache with a $100 dollar purchase. I am guessing they screwed up somewhere with this promotion. You can get the coupon code from TechBargains if you really want it. It came in the mail yesterday and is fairly nice.

I called Staples customer service.
And asked them if they would honor this and they said no and they are going to review ALL orders. :Q

There must be some sarcasm in the last message, but if their is none, than it is just plain dumb to call CSR and ask if they are going to part with anything for 1 cent, just my 2 cents :)

I got in on a similar staples attache screwup in the past, and they did deliver... One would think they have learned their lessons and pay more scrutiny to future screwups. I doubt that many will get their orders this time, and your chances probably decrease even more if you ordered in more than a 1.

I doubt there was any sarcasm on the part of that member. Some people are just that bright.

I've gotten in on a previous deal like this and they did deliver. I think it's just a scam to get more customers to give up personal info and cancel all orders. Then they'll bombard you with advertisments through email or mail. How can a big corporation like this mess up twice? On the same product even. Sheesh! Makes you kinda wonder what they're really up to.

I got an order confirmation yesterday...no cancellation notice yet. Hope I snuck through :) The web page says "Delivery date 2-26-01".

All you dorks that actually called for this offer are probably the ones the ruined it. If you keep it on the web it won't get caught :)

I placed mine at 10am yesterday, so hopefully that let it sneek through.

Ordered 10? Of course you won't get it. Even if you order one, you will not get it unless all the services are automated. They made this mistake in the past and they did not honor it. Hell, I still have the purchase in my order history since it was never cancelled.

I got one of these a while back... Its the ugliest thing I have ever seen. I wouldnt wear it if someone paid me. I ended up throwing mine away. So dont get upset if your order does get cancelled

I have ordered HUNDREDS of these and they did deliver. Took 2 weeks, but I got them.

I ordered a bunch of these to hand out for the employees of my company. I thought it'd be a nice gesture. Anyways, I tried cancelling fearing having them try to charge me $40 a piece. CSR wrote back and said it was too late since it was already processing. Oh well, their lost.

I would be taking a $4000 hit. My credit limit is not nearly as high so 1) they wouldn't be able to complete the charge and 2) if they do, I purposely used Capital One's C@RD which is specifically for ecommerce transactions. I will send them copies of my email confirmations and receipts indicating the $0.01 price. Either way I'm okay. I don't really care if I get the bags or not, I thought they'd make nice presents for my coworkers.
