I had to upgrade my DSL to 3000/500 kbps as part of a promotion. I know it's active because I got a phone call saying so, and also my router says I'm connected at this speed.

At DSL reports, though, I've run numerous tests and have been getting about 1400kbps down and 300 kbps up.

The upload speeds have occasionally reached about 400kbps, but the downloads have never exceeded 1500kbps. I'm getting about half of what I'm paying for. Should I be concerned, and what can I do?

I would bet money that ASI upgraded your speed in the DSLAM or Remote Terminal but ATT didnt upgrade your router configuration. They prolly have you capped at 1500 rather than 3000.

Call up tech support and ask them to check the router configuration. If they dont know what theyre doing, ask for second level support.
