att&t cell service used to be very good, now there's lots of disconnects, poor reception and even loss calls (friends call but you never get it).
anybody w/ ATT&T notice this??
Here in Souther Cali, Cingular is begining to suck major ass, disconnects, voice mail not working, etc....I was actually thinking about switching over to AT&T
Sprint works great for me in LA. Sure, there are a couple of places where I get no service, namely stairwells and in basements. However, I can't think of a single place where I'm entirely without service (i.e. not even roaming).
i have two problems with ATT in So.Cal
one is that sometiems it doesnt pick up and goes to the voice mail (very rarely these days but did so early days when I got it - about 4 or 5 mnths back)
the other thing is that somtimes you dial and it wont connect, and you got to redial and still wont connect.. so you got to wait for 5 minutes or so before it allows you to dial.. otherwise it goes "beep beep beep beeeep"

I've noticed this too. I never had this problem a couple months ago
believe it or not... i would rather have Sprint back than this Cingular crap im stuck with now. obviously certain companies have different coverage areas which is why so many people are either unhappy with att or sprint or cingular. Why cant these companies have a 30 day clause to get out of the contract. This sucks ass.
Att&T cell service, once the best is now becoming unrealiable and bad like Sprint!!!
LOL, I know a hell of a lot more happy Sprint Cell Phone owners than I do AT&T. I'm not saying AT&T is bad, I just have had a better experience with Sprint.
<<AT&T service is awesome. They're rebates suck ass though>>
att in california is just awesome....i had a problem with 2 rebates of mine. i just called the 1800 number and after a few transfers, they got someone who knew about rebates on the line and he just credited my account with the money.

AT&T does offer a 30-day Risk-Free trial on their rate plans. Here is a clause from the general terms and conditions for wireless service:
<< IF YOU SELECT A RATE PLAN, FEATURE OR PROMOTION WITH A FIXED TERM, YOU MAY TERMINATE THIS AGREEMENT WITH RESPECT TO ANY NUMBER WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER YOUR ACTIVATION DATE OF THAT NUMBER. IF YOU TERMINATE SERVICE MORE THAN 30 DAYS AFTER YOUR ACTIVATION DATE, BUT BEFORE THE END OF YOUR FIXED TERM, OR WE TERMINATE FOLLOWING YOUR DEFAULT, YOU WILL BE IN MATERIAL BREACH OF THIS AGREEMENT. YOU AGREE OUR DAMAGES WILL BE DIFFICULT OR IMPOSSIBLE TO DETERMINE AND AGREE TO PAY US, AS A REASONABLE ESTIMATE OF OUR DAMAGES AND IN ADDITION TO ALL OTHER AMOUNTS OWING, A CANCELLATION FEE FOR EACH NUMBER (THE ACTUAL AMOUNT OF WHICH IS REFLECTED IN THE RATE PLAN OR FEATURE OR PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS), AND YOU MAY NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR NEW CUSTOMER PROMOTIONS IN THE FUTURE.>>
have verizon....won't work in my house(no reception)
i think verizon and cigular has very good phone with cheapest price...at least my friend sell'em cheap(ie LG flip phone with caller ID on top(forgot the model no.) for $40 with a year contract)
i agree. absolutely. but im still making a grip of calls on my unlimited mobile to mobile. that is ... when there isnt system busys and when i get reception.
can we revive this topic? hehe. trying to decide between verizon and att.... have cingular now. still have unlimited mobile to mobile, which i use when it works... things seem to be better now, but there are still plenty of system busy messages and dropped calls. it seems like the signal just fades in and out. does analog help at all for att and verizon?
