A guy came by my house and was offering me a deal on some fiber optic internet, phone, tv. He said if I had a laptop they would program a key into it and I could access my internet from anywhere. I asked if I would get a usb card or something he said no they just program a key in and I can access it anywhere. I don't think he knew what he was talking about. Anyone know how this works?

Spidey is correct. The person was apparently "confused."

The AT&T hot spots work by just using your AT&T account credentials, nothing magic about it. It is the same for U-Verse and their other higher-end aDSL packages.
