AT's Dedicated BF3 Server and Origin List

The server seems empty most of the day. Does it only get going at night? Too bad there isn't a way to populate the server to get people to join. Can you send out events to the Platoon?

Yup, what I do is have my config for the server at startup set to require no players. Once people are in there, I manually change it using ProCon.

I keep everything but Metro in the rotation...and occasionally seine.

Actually, could we experiment with turning FF on at the Tugboat? It might decrease some of the grenade/RPG/mortar spam some maps have. Or is this just another "quickmatch requires it" setting...

no, i meant how do i play on atot servers or join the platoon. lol. wow. i tried to search on BF servers for ATOT but nothing. same for platoon but i read its full?

Just search for "Tugboat" in the server browser. Actually listed as an "Anandtech" server, not an ATOT server. We also use "Free Beer and Wings" above, or Derptown.

Hi everybody!

I've been on a bit of hiatus this past week - I was in Seattle shooting and those 17 hour days really take a toll out of you.

There's been something of a dropoff in traffic this week - but I honestly think a lot of that has had to do with the enormous glut of games that were released in the last ten days. Skyrim, MW3...others I guess. That's a lot of distraction.

Perhaps we should pick a night to jumpstart the server and see what happens?

Yup, yesterday there was hardly anyone playing on the server. It stayed with like 8 of us for two whole maps.

Sounds good! I'm able to game usually about 10:30-12:30 ish. Wanna try for Monday?
 
Yeah, pick night and I will do my best to be there. I always check this server first when I go to play, but its been at zero for the last several days.
 
Maybe you should tweak the rotation a little bit to get pubbers in there. Maybe just the air maps.
When you hop on you can always expand the rotation. Or maybe have a night/day rotation.
If you can have a motd maybe add a link to the platoon page or maybe add the url to the server name so people can fan it and possibly favorite the server.
 
Yeah , maybe large CQ 4 days and maybe have rush 3 days a week. I dunno I just don't like focusing on one game type and switching to another , just a comment. Or infantry one day vehicles another. DICE pretty much fragmented the community with 9 maps.

I'd like to whore myself out by looking for some squadmates to dominate with in BF3. I think it'll be fun to find some mates to coordinate with.

I'm not too shabby, 1.6KDR, 3.3 W/L, play primarily Engineer. I also enjoy candle-lit dinners and long romantic walks on the beach.
 
Sigur, I'll look you up tonight and add you. I'd like to start a small squad, get on the Mumble server and go play in some servers.

I play assault and recon.

Sounds good man, I've just been playing solo in public games, I think it'd be so much fun having a squad coordinating the team perks. We'd be unstoppable. I run mostly with squad flak jacket, since i hate getting mortared or noobtubed in the face.

I'd love to join, I cannot commit to any specific times & I'm only ok but I'll try to friend you tonight. BF name is same as this
