Sorry if this is the wrong section, but I have a Motorola Atrix HD that was originally locked to AT&T. Long story short I entered the wrong unlock code to many times and now my phone is hard locked.
I called at&t support and they said to contact motorola. Motorola wants $109 to fix it which isn't worth it.

Other then finding one with a busted screen and doing a motherboard swap is there anyway to get this phone working again?

I googled it and found a guide that says to flash Brazil radios, but that only seems to work on Atrix 2 and older and not the Atrix HD.

any help would be much appreciated.

thanks

Would fixing this be the same is recovering a bricked device? Try googling steps on fixing a bricked atrix hd and see if that helps. That's a strange problem to have. And how do you get the unlock code wrong that many times to hard lock your phone? It seems like you'd remember the password on something you use every day. Anyway, if nothing works, I'd cut your losses and get another phone. You can get a used Atrix HD pretty cheap or better yet maybe even a Moto G if you can spend a little extra.

Took the phone to the Philippines and bought a sim so I could use the phone over there. Unlock code I was given did not work and u only get 3 attempts then the phone becomes hard/permanently locked.

Sux that there is no workaround

I think most phones do that after so many attempts. Usually it is 10 though. It prevents someone from trying random codes. AFAIK there is no way to reset that once it has been tripped.
