I generally don't read political books. Daily news and magazine articles are enough for me.

But I finished reading Paris 1919: Six Months That Changed the World by Margaret McMillan. An extremely interesting book that I would recommend to anyone with even the slightest interest in history.

The Jungle - Upton Sinclair (Read many times before, but finally got the full, un-abridged version)
The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich - William Shirer (Half way through)
The Skeptical Environmentalist - Bjorn Lomborg
The Federalist Papers - Hamilton, Jay, and Madison (Always reading this one)

Currently Reading
The Shadow Rising: Book Four of The Wheel of Time - Robert Jordan. This is a great fantasy series. It's not quite as good as Tolkien's works, but it's definitely worth my time.
Ancient Rome - Robert Payne. I felt like I needed a refresher "course" on the Roman Empire. I haven't studied/read anything about the Roman Empire since college, which was 5 years ago.
On deck
There are 10 books in the Wheel of Time series. :) But I may switch gears for a bit. I'm looking for a good book about Alexander the Great. I really don't know more than the basics about him and for whatever reason I want to learn more.

Yeah - that's been on the top of my list too. That book is a pretty tough find.

Kerry's Karl Rove said he could find me a copy...but would have to kill me.
