Just a poll. Don't start bitching at one another, now, just vote. I'm curious where ATOT stands in proportion to the rest of the country.

Disapprove, coming from a non-republican conservative (I can't affiliate myself with that party these days. It's like sitting at the fat kid's table for lunch in grade school.)

This whole No Tax and Spend So much money that you make Regan look like Scrooge thing isn't going to work out well for the next generation.

*looks at the shape of the poll*

Charlie: Lieutenant, what were you doing there?
Goose: Communicating.
Maverick: Communicating. Keeping up foriegn relations. You know, giving him the bird!
Goose: [Charlie looks puzzled, so Goose clarifies] You know, the finger
[gestures apprpriately]
Charlie: Yes, I know the finger, Goose.
Goose: I-I'm sorry, I hate it when it does that, I'm sorry. Excuse me.

I already kindly asked that you keep that crap out of here, or else this thread will be locked before we can get any real results.

I'm in the middle right now...

We can't fail in Iraq so I'm just gonna stick with him to the end of his presidency.

I disapprove too, and I'm a moderate. We probably could have sent people to Mars or offered free healthcare to millions for how much the Iraq war has costed so far.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Iraq cost us $300 billion so far? Just destroying a damn rock cost us $333 million.

yep, but we're also cutting taxes at the same time, and at the rate the deficit is right now, we're spending millions just paying off interest

Right now his ratings are highly correlated to gas prices, the graphs are pretty striking. Maybe that should give him a clue eh? :p

Disapprove...I don't really know how to affiliate myself politically; I'm liberal in many ways and conservative in many others. Political Compass:
Economic Left/Right: -2.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.05

But the main things I disapprove of are the handling of the war (not so much because it's a war, as because it costs a crapload of money, gives no benefit, and sends our young people to die in a land that hates us for no reason), the environment (don't get me wrong, you can't build an economy without cutting down a few trees, but Bush seems to think nature is a personal insult to him), taxes coupled with spending (lower taxes, sure, but make it even, and DON'T INCREASE SPENDING AT THE SAME TIME!), and restriction of freedoms (I'd rather have more freedoms and be less safe than vice-versa. Unfortunately, most of America, and the current administration, seems to think a padded cell is the ideal habitat for an American).

The things I sorta like are privatizing Social Security (I don't think that gives him the right to loot the SS fund like the cookie jar, but the days of people expecting the government and their workplace to take care of them are GONE. Do your own saving for retirement. I mean, the way benefits are laid out today is ridiculous...different amounts based on really arbitrary rules, and the fact that people blow their SS checks on GAMBLING is proof that the system's flawed. I don't want MY tax money to go straight into the pockets of the MGM Grand.), and in some ways education (paying for results, rather than throwing money at schools, is controversial and painful, but ultimately effective. However, the measurement of said results needs work...standardized tests, yes, but they're too freaking LONG!)
