So I went to replace the hard drive on my PS3 and there are a few TINY phillips head screws to hold it in place. 4 on the cage and one to hold the cage in place. I went at them with an eye glass screw driver but it was a bit too small, and then I dug around in the garage for some slightly larger phillips head screwdrivers that fit just right.

However, I can't seem to get enough torque on the screw to break it loose. What should I do? Try using a pair of pliers to get more torque applied to the screw driver? Get a screw driver with a bigger handle so I can use more than my thumb and a few fingers to put torque on it?

Obviously you're going to have to drill them out

These guys didn't have any problems 🙁

I had the same problem. I ended up stripping the screw, but was able to eventually get it out. I ended up using pliers to slowly turn the screw just enough to get it loose. Use the pliers directly on the screw. once the screw is loosened, use the screwdriver to unscrew the rest of the way

Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try.

I'm known for thinking up ways to accomplish things that no one else does. Someday, I shall convert that into a way to make millions. for now, I'm only at the six figure point.
