ATOT: Which retail job should i take....

Evidently I am UBER GEEK that i got a position at Fry's electronics and at Best Buy.

I need something for the summer and maybe in teh fall, cause i graduate december and then i plan to go work for a private company.

All this is dependent on the pending drug test. Both are in teh same location - i got to go do those today.

Fry's is paying me 8/hr
BB is paying me 9.25/hr (is this what their avg is?)

Fry's has that requirement of tie and white shirt, dress pants and shoes
BB has the blue tee + khakis

So far its 2 pts for BB.

So why should i work for frys/ Should i even not do the drug test for fry's, cause i know i will pass. I am not good in 'denying' one place for another. Logical solution is to do both drug tests and then deny fry's electronics.

Whatdya say?

BB is paying $9.25? I guess that's just due to CA's higher living costs, they wouldn't pay anyone that much starting out here.

BB does have a nice employee discount, cost+5% which kicks in after 30 days. Use it to your advantage 😀

My retail experience includes, CompUSA, Sears, Circuit City. After a few of them you realize they are all the same. However, Circuit City was a hell of a lot more organized than comp or sears. Never worked for the two you mentioned but I would go for the higher pay rate. If you don't like working there than quit. Check the employee bonuses out if any and add that to your thought process.

i worked at bb before and i would never work there again ever. horrible horrible job. they dont treat employees well at all and make you work a lot later than your schedule says if a truck comes in. i'm talking my schedule would say 9:45pm and I would be there past midnight helping unload the truck.

and i cant comment on how bad they treat their employees. i worked there for 1 reason - to get a discount, which took 30 days. lets just say i quit on my 31st day ... (and saved $1800)
