ATOT Vancouver (BC) people, where are some good places to eat?

So in a couple of weeks will be my first visit to Canukistan, I would be staying the downtown Vancouver area (Kingsway @ 10th). I was looking for good places to eat, can be anywhere, and just about any type of food. Closer to where I am staying is better than farther away though.
Any suggestions are welcome, names and addresses are much appreciated.

Restaurant and Dining Guide with Reviews

Kingsway isn't the best play to stay in Van, however it is dotted with all kind of restaurants (mainly Asian restaurants).

Depends on where you are on Kingsway, but Commercial is not far away (near Commercial/Broadway sky train station) that also have many great restaurant & bakeries.

Downtown is the best place for eateries, Kitsilano/False Creek also great for dining, so as China town & Lonsdale.

Granville Island is another place to grab something to eat & entertainment (it have great bakeries). You can stroll through the market, look at art & crafts, enjoy a meal & comedy at the Arts Club, and take a tour at the Granville Island Brewery.

Anyways its only few kilometers to most of the interesting stuff.

My favourite sushi place was Kadoya on Davie St. (just before Thurlow St.) it's small but the atmosphere is great and the sushi both amazing and cheap - still my all time favourite sushi restaurant. You can also try www.dinehere.ca for local reviews.

I miss Kadoya Spicy Tuna and their specialty rolls, and I live in Japan

get down to Robson Street, all types of food...Greek,go to Stephanos, theres Sushi joints everywhere, if you get to Gastown go to Incendio, great Italian...so many choices

What kind of food or price range are you looking for? I'm not sure there's much around 10th and Kingsway except a bunch of hole in the wall places.

I'd take the bus to go along Broadway (which is technically 9th Ave - hence the #9 bus) Go west for your western type food, and go east to Commercial Drive (aka Broadway Skytrain) for some Italian flair.

You could also go down to Main St and take a bus into Chinatown and get some Asian food if you want. All these places are about 10 min drive, or 20 mins by transit. Fortunately, where you're located, you're pretty close to some decent transit, so you can get around pretty easy if you don't have a car.

Downtown/Gastown is about 10 mins away by train once you get to Broadway Skytrain (just jump on the 9 or 99 bus going east and get off at Broadway Skytrain)

As for recommendations, I'm don't usually eat around there. However, Lombardo's in the Commercial Drive area is pretty good. (on Commerical & 1st).

If you're looking for something trendy, Rugby Club on Broadway (I think it's near Broadway and Oak) is pretty good, though might be a little far if you're going by transit. There's also the chain restaurants like Cactus Club and Earls for something a little cheaper and good for some people watching.

Hole in the walls always have the best food!
Price range isn't to much of a concern, lets say under $30 a person.
I found a few places on Dinehere that looked interesting.
Transportation isn't a problem, we will have a car. Taking the busses is also a possibility though.
