Activity in the Video forum seems low so lets see what ATOT can do.

I've recorded a CART race and is now trying to edit out comercials and stuff.
It is recorded to mpg VCD standard to be burned to a VCD.
It should be possible to edit with TMPGEnc (I belive) but it just locks up. My second attempt was with VirtualDub but I can't se any way to save the file in mpg VCD format. Have I missed something.

Do I have to convert to DivX and then convert back to VCD? Seems a little overkill to me.

<----- Not very experienced with this stuff.

I think it's pretty easy to save it with virtual dub? Just choose the right bitrate and size, and hit save as avi

Yes, but then I need to convert to mpg again. Or...?

iFilmEdit 1.5.4 would be your best bet. It's incredibly lean and is, IMHO, the finest MPEG-1 editor out there.
