Well, I've been having some electrical problem with my vehicle. The passenger side headlights will not work. I troubleshooted everything I could and I was unable to figure out the issue. It wasn't a bulb issue. The line wasn't getting power. That's where I called my mechanic friend. He came over and determined that the wiring harness was good. It's been a couple of weeks where he's come over like once a week in the spare time trying to troubleshoot. So, he came over on Sunday morning and took apart my steering column. This was his second time doing so. He had done some research and was trying to apply what he found out. He still wasn't able to figure out what was wrong.
Yesterday morning, I went to go to work. My car made a lot of noise backing up. Then the car had problems moving forward. When I got off of work last night, I had the same issue. Except this time my car started to shake. I thought maybe my bearings had gone out in my rear passenger wheel. I was ready to order the part and do it myself. This morning, I got up with my big Jack and dragged it outside to the car. I left at the affected tire off the ground. I tried to turn it. It would only turn in reverse. It would not turn going forward. I called my friend and explained everything to him. While we were talking, I went to the car to check on something. It was then the light bulb went off above my head. I checked the parking brake. It was set. I never set my parking brake. That was the culprit. That was why the car had trouble moving forward, why it was shaking, and why it smelt burnt when I got home. I'm just glad it's not another repair that needs to be done.
