Corsair replacement parts came in - right color and everything looks good. Not too motivating when it comes to installing right now :-/
 
How come?

My employer blessed me with dual displays (Dell 14" 1920x1080 low end). I hook them up side by side and fire up the computer. I notice that to move my mouse from one display to other other I have to go around the block, moving off the left side of the left monitor to bring the mouse in on the right side of the right monitor. Being the genious that I am, I swap the HDMI ports so the mouse moves smoothly from left to right. Except that it doesn't. Changing the primary monitor setting in Windows 10 also does nothing. The mouse still has to go around the block. I had to physically swap the left and right monitors to get the mouse to behave correctly. What gives?

Err you are supposed to identify the monitors then rearrange the displays in the multi display setting to the way you want the monitors to be stiched together.
 
I think Windows is a little smarter now with that and remembers the actual monitors, so the location it's plugged in does not matter. When I switch my PC from home to work and vise versa it remembers my setup at both places even if they are not the same and I don't have to care about what monitor plugs where. Well as long as nobody messes with my monitors that is...

One thing Windows does that infuriates me though is that if you turn off a monitor it will completely shuffle all your stuff all over and mess up everything. This may partially be the fault of monitor manufacturers too. IMO they should have standby power to keep emulating the monitor so that Windows does not react in any way and thinks there is still a monitor th ere.

Another thing they need to fix - and Linux is guilty of this too, is where windows/dialogs open. It should always open on the monitor that the cursor is on, not randomly whereever it wants. Excell is horrible for this. You do a search and the search box ends up in the abyss completely off the charts instead of where you're working. worse is when you do in fact rearrange your monitors and now you have stuff opening in space that does not exist. Good luck trying to get to it now!
 
Yep the whole fiasco is going to die down, and Reddit knows this. Sites like that are basically too big to fail. There's tons of alternatives but I couldn't name a single one off top of my head without having to look it up. Once a site is well known it's very hard for another to take it's place.
 
Got the okay to upgrade my old GTX 1070. Birthday *and* Christmas present for this year. Worth it. Trying to decide between a Sapphire Pulse or XFX 7900 XT Merc 310.
