Closest one to here is Chelmsford I think. It's always a tradition to stop by there when traveling down south by that area. Me and my dad always get a banana split.

Way back in the day there actually was one here. Like, before I was even born. We have a local ice cream shop that is basically a mom and pop version of DQ though, so I tend to go there now and then. They make awesome poutine too.

I have never heard of ice cream poutine

Err whut?
I think it's a weird function self-defrosting freezers. If you leave the trays in there long enough to through many cycles, I think what happens is that because the freezer is so dry, even if the cubes don't completely melt, there's enough liquid that the near zero humidity can suck some of it into the air where it then condenses and is disposed of in subsequent cycles. But the tray has to have been in there for a while. Months at least.

I try to alternate between 4 trays but do I seriously think I'm going to remember which tray goes in which order? Silly rabbit.

edit: Have you ever seen one of those really old (even for me) fridges where the so-called "freezer" portion was in the main body of the fridge? No self-defrosting for YOU. In my first real apartment (garrets don't count). I borrowed the one gramms had from the 30's I think. Same design. You will never know the joys of self-defrosting until you've had to tackle one of those puppies.
