I officially have solar power to the house now, just a single 20 amp outlet, but it's something. With the panel and everything working properly I can add more circuits in the future. The big job was running the cable from shed to the house and doing the appropriate upgrades needed to do it properly.

I eventually want to add a bunch of solar outlets throughout the house as backup power so I can just plug stuff into them during a long term outage.

Also want to build an automatic A/B transfer switch power bar type device that I can setup a few loads on such as my servers. Could set it up to run off solar when power is available then switch back to hydro when it's not. It's only 400w but may as well try to make the most use of it.

It's kinda pointless. It's obvious he doesn't care for those knives. If it was an important knife to him he wouldn't do that to them.
no you dingleberry! it was a test. he was showing what the knives were capable of. Very hard steel sharpened properly can cut metal. But it also means that steel is brittle and capable of chipping easily too.

It's a trade off. Less people and cheaper land makes it better. I just wish I didn't have to work. 😛

Then don't bitch about your choices. It's like the bunch of people that bought new million dollar townhouses near sewage treatment plant then bitch about the smell.
