Finished up the brake work from last week. Got the caliper guide pins and the boots and seals in by Thursday. It took me and hour and a half from start to finish. After inspecting the new seals, I found them to be made of rubber and not plastic. The old ones had just gotten hard due to age and wear. The new guide pins were smooth and clean. I cleaned the hole where the guide pins go into the caliper mount. I then replaced the boots, greased up the guide pins and inserted them into the caliper mount. Everything went fairly smoothly. The new guide pins moved easily after installation. It's nice doing the job right!

You are gonna need them. One to transport water and the other to store. Need pump.

Yeah have not decided how I want to setup water yet and still have a lot of research to do on how to treat it etc, but I know I'll need them either way. These ones had diesel exhaust fluid in them so probably not suitable for potable water but it's non toxic so probably find as general use water after I clean them out.

At the very least I'll want to setup some water for general use like washing hands after going to the bathroom, mixing cement, etc.

And yeah need to look into pumps. 12v ones will be handy for filling tanks from a lake and then filling the tank at the camp.

This property is probably going to end up costing me a lot at the beginning. :p But I technically have the money to pay it off cash, I just don't know the best way to transfer it yet so I don't get killed with taxes. First world problem...

A guy just joined a fluorescent mineral nerd forum I'm on. His kid "won" a fluorescent rock at a mineral show. He just found out that the very cheapest lamp with which to see the pretty colors is $75. He's not well pleased. :p

Sky looks so odd right now, I can't tell if it's overcast, or if it's actually forest fire smoke drowning out the sun. I can sorta see the sun but it's not as bright and everything is really hazy.
