Those need like 36kw lol. I would need to upgrade my whole hydro service since I only have 24kw. If I go tankless then I may as well go gas. The condensing units are pretty nice. At some point I may look at that and install it myself and then just hire out the gas fitting.

Isn't the power to your house used to determine what you can power dictated in amps?

Yeah but comes up to same, 100 amp service is 24kw, so for 36kw heater you would need a 150 amp breaker!

huh. interesting. I have a 720 sq foot 2BR but it's got Central Air, and while the boiler is gas, I'm assuming I could change it to tankless down the road. I'll have to check the main breaker and see if I can tell what amperage I have coming in to this place.

Just got back from snowshowing, my friend is trying to kill me. We did like 7km. In terms of workout I'd say 1km of snowshowing is easy 5km walking if more. Knees, hips... everything is killing me lol. Good workout though.

What kind of snow shoes?
I used to hunt grouse on Canadian made pickerals. Ash and raw hide.

I've got these awesome Timberland boots that my late wife gave me. I almost never have a reason to wear them. However, I wore them for four days in a row! Crazy, I know. We actually had a real winter here. Probably the first time since 2011. I bought some lighter weigh boots that I brought with us on our Lincoln trip in 2015, Grand Canyon trip in 2015/2016 and later on our Glacier National Park trip in 2018. Good thing that winter will be fully melted over the weekend.
