I made jambalaya tonight. Wish it was spicier. I used bland sausage for the meat. I usually use hot links.

Ready to start painting where the fireplace was. My plaster job is not the best (looks good from far :p ) but it will have to do. For some reason I could not seem to get the sheet of drywall to sit flush. Not sure why, it's 1/2" just like what is there. In one spot it was too sunk in and I had to put shims and another part it stuck out too much.

Once this is done I can put my couch there which will put it in front of the TV where it belongs and my living room layout will improve 10 fold. I'll even be able to do a surround sound setup if I want to. Still need to put some banana jacks on both walls for future speakers. My old layout sucked since the couch was not in front of the TV.

My door alarm sensor for the past couple weeks:

Battery is dead, but it's a coin cell, and the alarm system won't shut up with "low battery" every time I exit the house. This solves that problem.

I have one on order from Amazon. No tracking, so probably one of those "it will get there when it gets there" orders.

Not sure if they would carry that, but never thought of checking. Didn't really want to run around to a million places trying to find a place that has them. I checked at grocery stores and Home Depot when I was at them for other stuff though. They had some coin cells but not that exact size. Not sure why they can't standardize those more. There's a million different ones. Crossed my mind to just mod it to use AAs and then I can cut an opening in the door frame with my multi tool for the batteries.

CR1620. Dollarama is all the way at the other end of town so don't plan to go there just for that but if I happen to go in that area (which I probably will given Home Depot is in that area) I might go if I remember.

Still didn't get my shares from work. Starting to get worried at this point. It should not take THAT long. I start work Friday, so I will need to figure out a contact to talk to to see what's going on. At least I get paid then too, so I will be able to at least get out of the negatives.

Yikes, people are going around with zip ties choking people now. Someone was found on a bench choking with one around his neck really tight just now. They were able to get it off in time. I don't know more details than that. This city is going to complete trash with all this crime and violence.
